Not when they're installed correctly and maintained on schedule. Our extensions sit on a beaded row that distributes weight gently across your scalp — no point pressure, no breakage. We assess your hair's health at every appointment and will always be honest if your hair needs a break.

Every set of extensions at The Beauty Lounge comes from our own private-label brand, BYOB (Build Your Own Brand). It's 100% ethically sourced human Remy hair that arrives sealed and gets opened at your appointment. We're the only salon in The Woodlands area that manufactures our own extension supply — so you always know exactly what you're getting.

Yes — we tone and gloss BYOB hair to color-match your natural hair perfectly. We don't recommend significant lightening of extension hair (it compromises the cuticle), but we'll handle every other color customization in-house.

We offer the full range, so every client gets the right method for their hair, lifestyle, and goals — hand-tied hybrid wefts, tape-ins, keratin bonds, toppers, lace closures, and clip-ins. Most salons specialize in one or two methods. We carry them all because no two heads of hair are the same, and we'd rather match the method to you than the other way around. We'll walk you through the right fit at your consultation.

Three textures — classic straight, beach wave, and curly. This means we can match the natural texture of your hair instead of forcing you to heat-style your extensions every day to make them blend. Whether your hair is pin-straight, naturally wavy, or has true curl, we have the texture that moves and falls the way yours already does.

Most women are — even clients with thinning hair, postpartum hair loss, or previous damage. The two main factors are having at least 3–4 inches of natural hair length and healthy enough hair to support the wefts. Book a consultation and we'll give you a real, honest assessment.

Pricing depends on the number of rows, length and density of hair needed, and any custom color work. Because every install is custom, we don't list set prices — but you'll get a detailed, transparent quote at your consultation before any commitment is made. No surprises, no hidden fees, ever.
